In 2018, Bieber wed his girlfriend, Hailey Baldwin, who has since taken his surname. But sharing names isn’t the only way the couple made their marriage official.
The pair also got some ink together, and after a few months of speculation, Bieber’s new body art was revealed on the tattoo artist’s Instagram page.
Celebrity tattoo artist, JonBoy, Jonathan Valena of Bang Bang NYC, shared a close-up photo of Bieber’s face. The face tattoo sits above his eyebrow revealing the word “grace” in a simple script font.
Keith McCurdy of Bang Bang NYC spoke out about it and said “They each got a tattoo…Justin’s tattoo is on his face, and I haven’t seen any photos of it — so he’s doing a good job of laying low. … It’s really thin and delicate. And (it’s) also not a traditional couples’ tattoo … I don’t want to give away what it is until [the] press gets a hold of it.”
McCurdy is one of the tattoo artists that has added ink to Beiber’s torso—over 26 hours of tattooing to be exact. This is Bieber’s second face tattoo, as he also has a small cross beside his left eye, also done by JonBoy.
Although Baldwin’s tattoo has yet to be revealed, the artist posted a telling photo in July that perhaps hinted at what her ink might say.
JonBoy accredits Baldwin for his influx of celebrity clientele. JonBoy said “Because if it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have been tattooing Kendall and Kylie (Jenner), Justin or anyone else. All these celebrities have come to me because Hailey said, ‘Yeah, he’s chill — go for it.'”
