Funny Airport Moments Captured on Camera

Airports are among the busiest places in the world. Millions of people from all over the globe travel in planes all year round. This makes airports a virtual melting pot for all kinds of people of all ages from many different countries traveling to a variety of destinations. There can also be a lot of stress in airports, especially for people who are travel weary, tired, and sleep deprived. But sometimes there can be unexpectedly funny and hilarious moments that occur in these situations. Here are just a few captured on camera.

Lying Around

Sometimes it can take hours waiting around in the airport, especially if there are numerous delays. It can be challenging to find a comfortable spot to sit in, let alone lie down and take a nap. But this woman found an ingenious way of getting some needed shut-eye.

Tired Parent

Traveling in itself is tiring, and it can get downright exhausting when you are also taking care of two young kids. A passenger snapped this picture of a tired parent who fell asleep while his daughters placed stickers all over his arms.

Cheeky Pillow

Traveling for several hours can become uncomfortable, especially on your backside. This woman brought her own pillow with her to ease the discomfort. But the placement of the pillow hanging from her purse and its color made people think of something different, especially from this angle.

Getting Personal

Airport security from all over the world has been getting tighter and tighter. Not only are you expected to open your bag and empty your possessions on a table, but sometimes you will have strip down to your underwear so they can thoroughly search your person.

No Exceptions

Airport security is so high that even celebrities such as Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson is searched for contraband. Hudson’s hair is being combed over to see if she is bringing anything illegal in her hair on her flight.

Missing Your Parents

Children will always miss their parents when they travel, and meeting them at the airport is something that most kids look forward to. But this “child” took things to a different level when he picked up his folks in his onesie pajamas with a sign informing them that they no longer had cereal.

Personal Belongings

When it comes to packing, it is important to keep your personal things in your luggage. This passenger made the mistake of carrying a peculiar “toy” with his hand luggage and had to be subjected to a lot of people witnessing his personal preferences.

Keeping The Kids in Line

Most parents have a hard time wrangling their kids, especially when they are unruly and bored in an airport. This parent probably thought that using a leash to control both her kids would be helpful. It doesn’t look like its working in this picture.

Perfect Placing

Sometimes the most hilarious photos are those with perfect placing and timing. Take this pair of passengers who had the unfortunate luck of leaning on a particularly funny sign. The perfect spacing makes for one funny coincidence.

Checking In The Luggage

This teenager took it upon herself to “plank” on the luggage conveyor belt. Her parents probably thought it was a good idea to be stored in the baggage compartment so they could just pick her up at the end of the trip.

Shoe Shine

These passengers decided to get their shoe shined while waiting at the airport. The only problem was that they were wearing their costumes of the villainous Cybermen from the hit TV Show Doctor Who.

Gone to the Birds

A Saudi Prince traveling from the United Arab Emirates was able to get passports for his falcons. The passports allowed the birds to travel between countries in an airplane. Several airlines including Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways allow falcons to be boarded on their planes. But this Prince brought along 80 Falcons with him on the flight.

The Force is Strong in this One

These Star Wars fans met up in an airport in Denver for the recent release of the latest Star Wars movie. As a funny joke, they dressed up as storm troopers while waiting for their friend to arrive with a “Vader” sign on hand. Their friend was in full Darth Vader costume and even had the Death March theme song played as he came off the plane.

Too Much Information

In this picture, we have a family waiting for the arrival of their mother from a flight. The only problem here is that their welcome sign divulges a little bit too much information about where their mom is coming from.

Business Casual

It is always advisable to wear comfortable clothing when you travel, especially if you are expecting to travel for several hours. But this passenger seems to be taking this to the next level with his very “casual” travel attire.

Impressive Software

Technology has been very important in making sure that travel goes as smoothly and as quickly as possible. But in this picture, we get a glimpse of the top of the line software used in airports and behind counters.

Personal Effects

Making sure your luggage is recognizable as your own is very important when you travel. You don’t want to confuse your bag with someone else’s. You also do not want someone else to pick up your stuff. This passenger made sure of that with a full body picture of himself plastered all over his luggage.

Rolling Luggage

Luggage with wheels has been one of the most ingenious and helpful innovations for travelers. But this passenger seems to be taking it to a different level, using the wheels of his bag to drag his luggage while riding a motorcycle.

Sensory Deprivation

Sometimes, we just feel like we want to shut everything out and sleep until we get to our destination. This is what this passenger apparently had in mind when he sat down for his flight. This get up practically screams: “Do not disturb.”

Bear with Me

The most common reasons for delays in arrival and departures have been the unexpected presence of something on the runway. In this airport, a polar bear suddenly walked in and took a stroll at the tarmac of this airport, where airport personnel had no choice but to wait.
